LostFoundLink has been issued with a SSL certificate and verified as a secure website by the regulation authority. All personal information transfers receive connection encryption for maximum data protection. Membership subscription payments are processed via the secure PayPal system to ensure the ultimate safeguard of members' financial information.
General information
LostFoundLink guarantees that our website users' details will be kept private and confidential and never generally shared with others. However for our service to function as expected some essential requisites are needed as follows.
Report found property
Members have to be put in touch with finders to recover their property. To connect our member with the finder we need to give our member the finder's First name and Email address plus Mobile number if provided. Members may also nominate family or friends as a backup way for us to contact them. To let family or friends know who appointed them to us we need to include the member's First and Last name in our message.
Tell a friend
To let family and friends know who referred them to us we need to include the referrer's First name and Email address in our message.
Enter our draw
The winner each month is announced on this website and we need to display their First name and Country on the Enter our draw page.

How membership works
Allowance
A Personal Property Protection Pack will be posted to you within 2 working days from registration and shall continue to remain in effect throughout each year of your Worldwide Membership. Pack delivery should generally take around 7-14 days and will vary depending on our nearest dispatch point to your country location and local services. To make up for this unavoidable short loss of membership time in the first year LostFoundLink will provide both your Pack and its delivery to you Free of charge. In subsequent years you will enjoy the full 12 months membership period.
Subscriptions
LostFoundLink membership subscriptions are accepted by Card payment in USD via the secure PayPal system. You will need to make sure your payment Card is always current by the end of each year so your annual subscription gets paid on time. If your payment Card changes or expires during the year you should update it immediately to prevent your membership running out through non payment of your subscription. Note: subscription payments on your Card statement will appear as 'PayPal *LFL Member'.
Permission
You authorize LostFoundLink to charge your membership subscription fee to your payment Card at joining and subsequent annual payments when due at the prevailing rate. Your subscription is payable in advance by automatic debit from your payment Card account on the same date each year. Your membership will flow on from year to year unless you cancel or allow it to expire. Any unused fee portion of a cancelled membership year would be non refundable due to the low cost nature of the service. You will be notified in advance about any future changes to membership fees or details.
Reminders
During each membership year you will be sent periodical reminder messages from LostFoundLink to check and ensure your registered Mobile number and/or Email address are up to date so we can always contact you fast. And just before each annual membership renewal date is due you will be sent further reminder messages to check and ensure your registered payment Card is up to date so your subscription is paid on time and does not expire.
Communication and notifications
Methods
To communicate with our members and finders about lost and found property we mainly use email to their address, plus text if they provide a mobile number. We will also phone them if emails and texts ever fail to deliver, but fortunately that problem rarely occurs.
Emails flow seamlessly via the one global Internet. It is the most positive and reliable way for us to communicate worldwide. Our email notifications are normally delivered successfully whether members and finders are in the same country or in different countries.
Text
Texts generally transmit well if members and finders are in the same country. However there are many mobile service providers. Some are incompatible with others, particularly between different countries, so our text notifications may not always get through because of it.
Phone
In reality we seldom have trouble making contact by emails and texts anyway but if it does happen we will then try to phone. So be assured that one way or another we do our utmost to put members in touch with finders and help them recover their property – that's why we're here!
